our next day in frankfurt karl and i just walked aimlessly around the city for hours and hours in- take a guess- the rain! we visited the cathedral there which is one, if not the only, building that was left standing in the city after world war two. In the lobby of the church there is a picture of the devestation from the war, rumble everywhere and right in the middle of it all is the church standing there tall and untouched. its surreal.
